Paris Escovedo's New Release Premieres on the Music Charts with his Smooth Jazz Compilation

You recently debut number two on the iTunes USA Jazz Album,
tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

My background is so unique to me because I have always been able to see and be around great musicians and music as a child. Being around my father Thomas Coke Escovedo (Santana,Azteca,Cal Tjader).

I developed a love affair with music, in which I was able to see and watch my father and my Uncle (Pete Escovedo). I studied how they played, how they learned Latin Percussion. I also watch the great’s like Tito Puente, Mongo Santa Maria and others. As I got older into my teens and older I developed new inspirations like Michael Jackson and Prince and Tower Of Power. This is what brought me to my own sound and style today an amazing fresh sensual sexy soul Latin Jazz, called “Ghetto Jazz”.

Blend of Latin soulful jazz hip hop.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

One of the difficult things I have overcome was , when I first moved to Los Angeles California I wanted to pursue my desire and craft of music, trying to get gigs and live music life. It was hard because, trying to do something good for yourself while staying with friends and family and even staying in shelters at one point. I’d say it’s been one of the challenging times I’ve had to live through, but I never gave up on my dream and passion. I never asked for any handouts from Family! I wanted to put the work in and achieve it by myself.
