SS Global Ent - Doc Marky T's "Miss America" Ft. LS - Hits No. 11 on iTunes Chart

This week, SS Global Entertainment releases a hit Dance single produced by “Doc Marky T”, titled “Miss America” featuring “LS” and soared up to number 11 on the iTunes Dance chart.

The “Miss America” collection includes the original Dance version and a bonus R&B Remix included with both instrumentals and A-capella vocals available for DJ’s interested in remixing their own rendition.

Doc Marky T is a former teacher, coach, and Rideshare driver that established numerous unofficial Rideshare world records in 2019 – coincidentally the year COVID relief programs would be calculated upon. After receiving nearly half a million dollars in COVID relief between 2020 and 2021, he purchased music studio equipment to reignite a dream of writing a Billboard hit record. After writing a song “Miss America” about a former Miss America but failing to get a response from her, he decided to take his first-ever music production course to professionalize his songwriting. During the course, he wrote the instrumental to “Feelings” while looking at pictures of Miss America for inspiration in the hopes of impressing her. The music was originally composed for a different vocalist and lyrics as part of the course, but he later recruited Myah Marie from an online music source to write and sing new vocals to the instrumental as a break-up song.

TO STREAM for your listening pleasure, click below. For DJs, search for the instrumental and A-capella vocals and have some fun while you’re at it!

Kapitol P releases a new visual “Cold World” featuring Slumlord Trill and is one of the songs that will feature on a new mixtape the two are collaborating on aimed for a release sometime this year. An ambitious and slick talker with a cold lyrical flow, the Chicago rapper commands respect from hustlers from his hometown and across the map. Over a commanding instrumental from CSTMBeats, Kapitol P and Slumlord Trill both originally deliver raw and authentically.

Patrick Winters professionally known as "Kapitol P" was born on the west side of Chicago where all the odds were stacked against him. At 14, he moved to New Jersey with his mother who tried to create a better environment for him, but Chicago was always his home. At the age of 18, he returned from Norfolk

State University where he went to school and was later locked up for a murder charge which he was acquitted of 5 years later. He was released but unfortunately, 2 years later, was locked up again for possession during an illegal traffic stop and sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

Upon his release 1 year ago, he participated in A&E Magnified Voiced: locked up in America and is now ready to give the world a taste of his music. Kapitol P is here to stay and ready to push forward leaving the qualms of his past behind him. Currently, he's finishing his Ep which is set to be released at the end of this summer.

Grindweekly Interview with Pierre Limage

It’s great to have “Pierre Limage” in for an interview with us today, tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

I was born in Chicago IL, and raised by both parents in a Haitian household. I’ve always fought to be understood due to my upbringing in the cultural differences with being raised by another nationality in America. My parents never wanted me to be a rapper but a doctor or a lawyer. Never wanted me with long hair or any tattoos i Just had my own vision which was to be my own boss  which i utilized this platform to do just that

Where are you from?

South of Chicago in a small town known as Dolton

When did you start music?

I started writing my own music officially in 2006 but never really got in the studio until 2009 so it's definitely been a journey getting here

How did you get into music?

I wanted to be a rapper so bad! I grew up on a lot of 106 & Park and Rap city in the basement. So I memorized my first ever verse by Ludacris. I remember the exact song til this day “Made you look remix” but I coined it as my own and went around the schools telling people I could rap until I got caught biting someone else's lyrics. I was so ashamed that i started writing my own lyrics shortly after and that's when my brother “Rich” recognized my talent and told me keep going and i did just that

What was the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

The journey more so, you have to believe in yourself more than anyone and be willing to do what it takes to get yourself in certain rooms. It's gonna be a lot of empty promises, a lot of fake help, and late support. You have to have tunnel vision in this game.

Are you currently signed or independent?

Independent, I recently joined forces with Unified a subsidiary of Sony The Orchard on a major distribution deal for my label “The Bureau”

Who inspires you the most musically?

First choice of this generation has to be Drake, from the melodies the bounce and the ability to be relatable i got to the rock with him i mean he’s even underrated as a lyricist in the game in my opinion

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

After listening to me I want people to take a piece of me with them. I want people to realize what goes through my mind whether that be the playful and energetic side or my serious side. I just like to give people me and let them take what they want from it. After all music is art and art is perspective so all in a nutshell i want people to take away the essence of the man from the music

Any new music coming out soon?

June 3rd,  we will be unveiling my first single of the year “I Can’t Save Her”

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

The ability to move to a new state, build a fanbase, get radio placement, and open up for Kevin Gates has to be in the top tier for now

Do you produce your own music? If not, who do you work with?

Still shopping around for my very own in house producer but i've been working with various producers from the likes of Saint Cardona, AyoZch, Quizz, and many more

Who is one artist you wish you could work with?

I’ll take the 2011, The Weeknd in a heartbeat that trilogy and House of Balloons feel was just different

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is it coming out? What is it about?

June 3rd we're getting ready to release the single and video for my first single of the year “I Can’t Save Her”. a story fighting the idea of monogamy due to a piece of me still being a player by nature. With the idea of not knowing what “She” may really be here for its just a disclaimer “I Can’t Save Her”

What Does a day inside your shoes look like?

I try to stay as productive as possible making sure my business ventures are successful whether that be my clothing brand “SoldBySole'' or my label “The Bureau” is thriving. I also rent out exotic/luxury vehicles. When it's not business i'm usually in the gym or spending time with family and friends

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

I’m also known in some circuits for my poetry as well as my acting abilities. I just love the arts so I was involved in plays as well as speaking events. I hold many accolades in those areas of my life

Blizzyboy LG Releases Visuals for "Broken Hearts" on Youtube - Watch Now

Blizzyboy LJ is at it again! After releasing his latest album “Overdue”, today he officially released the visuals for his hit single, “Broken Hearts” available now on Youtube. Click below to check it out.

The hustle and the grind are no strangers to rapper Ray Lamonte John Weaver-Bey professionally known as "Blizzyboy LJ“ and combined with a life that has seen him follow a nomadic world of experiences, you get a true sense of why he has the credibility to back up his enormous talent.

Raised in Hartford Connecticut, Blizzyboy LJ’s inner-city world was full of the rough and tumble of the streets and gang life. Always having a passion for music, it was his constant companion as he was repeatedly expelled from High School and the college education he pursued. Recognizing that he had to change his environment to escape the temptations he had fallen to, he moved to New York but yet again the opportunity didn‘t bear fruit and he wound up in his father‘s home state of California.

Traveling the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard with 100s of CDs in his bag, he created a presence on the street. Pushing his own music, LA was not the paradise he expected it to be and he then chose to go to college in Santa Barbara to follow his dreams. Securing gigs with the Migos, 21 Savage, and also Famous Dex in 2016, his career looked like it was going to take off but he wasn’t earning the money he needed to survive and once again fell into the life of fast cash.

In April of 2020, Blizzyboy LJ, times fell hard on him yet again which resorted to him sleeping in his car, and living in a motel with only $500 to his name. He had hit rock bottom but refused to give up.

He continued to push through different channels, eventually landing a hit single Life into the Streets which reached number 18 on the Billboard chart. He soon followed that up with another single, Dior Weather. Reaching over 250k views on Youtube alone, Blizzyboy then took another break from the industry to plan and come back even stronger. He’s been featured on Power 106 with DJ Carisma and featured on multiple reputable sites such as Elevator Mag, AllHipHop, The Hype Magazine, Genius, and more.

Now, he's back in the place he always wanted to be...creating his own destiny, dropping focus tracks titled Bang feat O.T. Genasis and, Broken Hearts from his new album Overdue. Now focused on a career that will fulfill all the promises he ever made to himself, Blizzyboy LJ is about to emerge from the storm and become the artist he always wanted to be.

GrindWeekly Magazine Interview with Stevy O

Hi Stevy O! How are you?

Hi l'm doing great thank you.

Where are you from?

I'm an African descent from New Jersey.

Why don’t you give us some details about the work you do. What do you specialize in?

I would describe my music as uplifting, quite abstract, deep and meditative. I found love making music for the sake of well being, motivation, self awareness and enlightenment. I specialize in singing and rapping in a distinctive style, vibe and voice, creating remarkable and often described as catchy sounds in hip hop music genre.

When did you start music?

I started making music a few years ago. Precisely in late 2020.

How did you get into music?

I've always been a fan of music in general. But my passion and desire to get into music started from my love and habit to listen to instrumentals as I would naturally come up with ideas and a sequence of sounds to complement instrumentals I like into songs. My music to me is important if It spreads positivity. I noticed my talent when I first tried to record myself randomly for the first time to a beat I liked on my phone and it did not sound bad at all. It's from there that I knew I had a hidden potential to unlock and work on. As of now I'm happy to be displaying this special talent of mine that I always strive for.

Who inspires you the most musically?

I'm a fan of many artists! But my music comes from my own profound sense of concept, imagination and creativity which allow me to have something unique and refreshing.

Who is one artist you wish you could work with?

I don't have one specific artist I wish I could work with at the moment but any artist that's into spreading love and positivity in general throughout music is a win for me.

What are the challenges of being an artist?

The challenges of being an artist is to understand who you are as an artist, meaning find your own purpose and vision, and just create with love to make a difference in this world. To me, once you find your own purpose everything else will follow along more loosely despite the obstacles.

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

With that being said, I'm an artist who rather let my creativity, productivity and crafts speak for themselves.

Born in Oklahoma and raised in East Atlanta, Ray Davis brings listeners a fresh take on Hip-Hop R&B. He grew up in a musical household watching his father practice as a blues musician which ultimately led to his love for music. Ray has been taking his music and writing seriously by investing in himself professionally for a little over ten years. One of his hit singles, "Lit Asf" garnered attention from all over the world, while just recently it secured regular rotation airplay in Oklahoma on Power103.5. In addition to that, on March 8, 2022, Ray released yet another hit single through a major distribution deal via SS Global Entertainment that landed full rotation on several syndicated shows such as, “Steve Harvey In The Morning”, “The Breakfast Club”, and “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”.

Now, surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Ray has gained major recognition. The single titled "I Like" secured a spot for Ray to open for Juice Wrld in Las Vegas right before his passing.

With all the great success heading Ray’s way, initially, his primary goal was to be signed to a major label, however, as of late, he’s been taking pride in riding the independent wave. While partnering with another label down the road isn't out of the question, he aims to prove to himself that he can make it on his own and his plans for the future look promising. His work ethic alone is paving the way for success.

G-Man Entertainment's "Indie in a Major Way Vol. 1" Soars on the iTunes Charts

Your label just recently charted at #23 on the Rap/Hip-Hop iTunes Album Charts with "Indie in a Major Way Vol. 1" How does that feel?

This was our first time ever charting and the feeling was great. It was something as a independent label we have always wanted to do so we are very proud to have hit that milestone and hope to chart many more projects in the future

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

G-Man Entertainment Music Group started as a management company in 2004 based out of Virginia Beach, VA then turning into an independent label in 2012 after rsigning with Sony/Orchard. Since then the label has grown into what we call a Full- Service Entertainment Company. In today's time we establish artists, songwriters, producers, brand marketing, music publishing, merchandising, film & television along with national concert tour promotions.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

The most challenging thing we have had to overcome as a label is being turned down from  different opportunities at times ranging from business partnerships to artists deals and having enough heart to keep pushing forward until you find the right partner in business that can see what you are trying to do and help you achieve that vision.

What do you want people to take away after listening to the label’s music?

As a label we have a variety of different artist and all of them have different stories in their music as well as a different style and vibe. As long as some of the fans can relate to some of the artists on the roster and enjoy the different sounds then that makes us and the artists happy.

Any new music from the label coming out soon?

We have tons of new music coming out from some of the artists that has been with us for a while along with some new talent. After charting on Itunes with "Indie In A Major Way" Vol 1 be on the lookout for Vol 2 coming soon.

What is your label’s greatest achievement?

We have had a lot of great achievements over the years but to date it would have to be charting at #23 on iTunes.
What are 3 words that describe your label’s music?

Real Life, Lifestyle, Inspirational

Which qualities  do you think make a great label?

What qualities make us a great label is first and foremost "Good Business" we pride ourselves on that with anything we do. We our a very organized strategic type of company and push our artists to be the best they can be while educating them with knowledge in the music business just to name a few.

What’s the best piece of advice another label ever gave you?

The best piece of advice another label has given me was always support your artists and don't make them feel like they work for you. Make them feel like it's a true partnership to where they have a voice as well.
Anyone you’d like to thank?

First, I would like to thank God because without him there would be no G-Man Entertainment Music Group. I would also like to thank the whole G-Man Entertainment Music Group family from Staff to Artists and all of the fans who have supported the G-Man brand for many years and those that still continue to support us.

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

Grindweekly Interview with NRBARZ

1. Hi NRBARZ! How are you? I am good, family. Thanks for having me for this interview.

2. Where are you from? I am from the Caribbean Islands of the Bahamas.

3Why don’t you give us some details about the work you do. What do you specialize in? During the 9 to 5, I currently work for a local financial institution and outside of that, creating and recording music is a passion grind.

4When did you start music? My household growing up was first becoming a fan of music. It was a fond experience on any given weekend or holiday. My mother would play records and cassette tapes. Then later in the years, compact discs from her collection ranging from rhythm, blues, soca, calypso, reggae, gospel and even a little country music to add to that. As I was exposed to a cross-sectional range of genres also on national and international radio weekly chart programs, as a youth, my interest in music started from there.

5How did you get into music? I got my introduction to the music business in an official capacity as a member of a local group called “United” which consisted of a hybrid of talented individuals such as rappers, reggae chatters and singers alike at one time or another sharing a tenure in the group.

6Who inspires you the most musically? I got into music after hearing about the commercial market & the underground side which includes the likes of Hip-Hop songs such as “Respiration” by a pioneering underground hip-hop group known as "Black Star" featuring "Common", which made me want to start writing lyrics and rhyme like those story-telling hip-hop songs like that of “Children's Story" by Slick Rick. Hip-hop artists such as Nas, A Tribe called Quest & the spiritual-minded hip-hop creatives that you may not be familiar with, such as the Tunnel Rats, Deepspace 5, G.R.I.T.S., S.F.C., Lightheaded, Jasper Brown and the Procussions, just to name a few.

7Who is the one artist you wish you could work with? Neo-soul creatives are evolving in their lane. I would love to merge some hip-hop collaboration-wise and for real though, just talented artists who have found their lane and have that mutual respect for others in what they bring to the musical table for us all to eat metaphorically.

8What are the challenges of being an artist? Finding that balance consistently to juggle the responsibilities of daily life commitments while still making time to create music. So, it's just being intentional while at the same time being inspired organically. Feeding on that energy belief is itself a God-given gift.

9Anything else you want the audience to know about you? I will say this concerning your question that there is something for someone. Some songs I record may not be for you at this time or for you at all and some songs that I create or record might be for another but everyone can have their picks. If any of my songs connect with someone, whether in the present or the future, then I have done my job as a recording creative.

10Where can people listen to your music? Please add links.

Thanks again for having me on Grindweekly. I appreciate the connection. Keep doing your thing, team. I appreciate you all for taking the time to stream or purchase NRBARZ music at the respective links below.

Born in New York, now based in San Diego, California, Joey Trap is the perfect blend of the East Coast/West Coast sound that appeals to audiences everywhere. Beginning to make music at the age of 8, Joey Trap first used Rap as an escape from the street life and temptations that surrounded him.

Influenced by artists such as Kodak Black, XXXtentacion, Travis Scott, and Young Thug, Joey Trap began to dive deep into the studio and released music through Kloud Gang Entertainment. In 2017 and at the young age of 18, he was signed to Asylum Records; a relationship that did not stand the test of time and ended in 2019.

Realizing that he could continue the journey both successfully and independently, Joey Trap built his own label Young Rich Squad LLC, and from that moment on has never looked back. Free, unbound and pushing through any challenges ahead, Joey Trap continues to deliver that undeniable East Coast attitude with some West Coast flavors. Hits like ‘Hova’, ‘Fentanyl’ and ‘Skinny’, have proved that it was the best decision he ever made, and he is now firmly established as an artist in the top tier of rappers. Infectious, authentic with a unique view of the world, his driving beats and incredible story-telling ability, supported by a tight lyrical flow, are a testament to the future road ahead.

With a work ethic producing seemingly an endless supply of music, it’s safe to say that there is so much more to come. His passion for music creation is a lifelong relationship that will unquestionably attract more fans to his world. He doesn’t need to be anyone else to make that happen. He has already arrived and is completely cognizant of the fact that there is no one that can get in his way or stop him.

“Take Risks And Prosper” is more than just a brand, it is the mantra that Joey Trap lives by.

Shorty T Charts no.6 on the UK iTunes Rap Chart with “Couple Bucks”

You just recently charted at no. 6 on the UK iTunes Rap Chart with your (song) “Couple Bucks”. How does that feel?

It feels absolutely amazing. Being able to chart as an artist is a major accomplishment so I am happy to be able to reach that goal.

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

Well, it’s been a very long journey. I started writing music back in my hometown of New Orleans when I was in high school. Once I learned how to freestyle I became a battle rapper which is what started my career in music. After a couple of successful years battling, I started to record songs and I’ve been at it ever since. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, I relocated to California where I literally had to start all over. Luckily for me I was still able to make a name for myself in L.A/Hollywood and that changed everything. I’m now focused on continuing to hit the iTunes charts, hit billboard and work with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

I’ve definitely been through so many challenges but one that was extremely hard was homelessness. Going through a phase like that will for sure make you or break you but if you can live through it, it makes you a much stronger person who can handle tough situations.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

I want people to know that my music is authentically mine. I write, record and perform all of my own songs. I know many artists have songwriters especially nowadays but I genuinely look at my music as an art form and an expression of self. I paint my life with my lyrics so the more you listen, the more you get to know me.

Any new music coming out soon?

Yes, I release music literally every Friday for what I call #FrequencyFriday. I plan to release songs every week for an entire year. I also started a group with my homie Mayjah Payne called Crown Energy so we will be releasing a new project by Summer 2022. Shoutout to Sirr Jones as well.

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

Hmmmm, great question. I’ve experienced many great moments. One would be when I opened for Rick Ross on Memorial Day in New Orleans. I performed with two artists in my group at the time that night and we were only supposed to do one song. After the song, the crowd kept yelling for us to do another so the DJ obliged and it was lit. Met a bunch of big artists backstage afterwards that I ended up working with later on.

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Unique -Informative -Fire

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

The music usually speaks to me so that I know what subject to write about. I play the beat and let the ideas flow. Once an idea sounds good enough for me to repeat a few times and the rhythm is right, I write it down and keep going. I focus on four bars at a time and I also enjoy complex rhyme schemes, metaphors and similes. I have an extensive vocabulary so playing with words has always been fun to me.

Which qualities do you think make a great musician?

There are many qualities that make a musician great, but greatness can be measured in different ways. Being unique is for sure one of the main qualities along with lyrical ability, consistency, rhythm, different cadences, the ability to switch up your style on different tracks and authenticity.

What’s the best piece of advice another musician ever gave you?

Create what you want and never try to cater to what others want. This was great advice because no matter what you do in life, you will never be able to please everybody. If you do something to make one group happy, the other group will hate you and vice versa. I always do my own thing despite how others may feel about it if it’s an individual decision.

Anyone you’d like to thank?

I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved in my life thus far, especially those in my inner circle. Thank you Sammy Issac, Mayjah Payne, Sirr Jones, mom, son, and everyone else who deals with me consistently. Love y’all.

Do you produce your own music? If not, who do you work with?

I work with different people from time to time but my main producer is Sammy Issac. His ear for music is absolutely incredible and I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for him. He’s also my music engineer and business partner.

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

Just to be on the lookout for any new projects I’m putting together. Also, I’m helping people grow on social media and I’m offering artist development for those who take their music seriously and are looking for the right connection to put things in place. If that’s you and you have a budget, get at me.

Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ Powers to Top of iTunes Nearly 14 Years After Release

It’s been nearly 13 years since Lady Gaga made a play for the top of the Billboard charts with her second #1 hit, ‘Poker Face,’ but – if renewed success at iTunes is to judge by – the RedOne-produced tune may be given another hand for chart glory.

Peruse of the updated iTunes Pop chart sees the Lady leaning at #2 – just a few sales away from dethroning Elton John and Dua Lipa‘s ‘Cold Heart’ from the tally’s throne.

Released in late 2008, ‘Face’ (found aboard Gaga’s debut album ‘The Fame’) is no stranger to digital success.

Not only is the high octane tune considered one of her best offerings yet, but it is also one of the best-selling songs of the digital age.  Her second Diamond-certified single (for sales of 10 million+ in the United States), ‘Face’ is an undying favorite of the Gaga’s that’s recently been shown increased love by a fan campaign designed to help ring in the GRAMMY winner’s birthday (March 28).

Coupled with a push on streaming outlets as well, the #Monsters’ push may be just enough to help the EDM banger revisit the Hot 100.

Mayjah Payne Charts at No.14 on UK iTunes Rap Song Sales Chart with “Taxin”

You just recently charted at # (14) on (UK) iTunes Rap Song Sales Chart with your (song) “Taxin”. How does that feel?

It feels magical! My team has some good momentum going right now. I am in gratitude with how things are going.

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

I’m from West Los Angeles born and raised, in the studios is where I spent most of my days. I’ve literally put pain in my music with blood, sweat, and tears! I recorded my first project “Phases of Love” at USC in the dorm-rooms and got a lot of support from the campus. I got the opportunity to open for T-Pain, J Cole, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Quik and other legendary artists. The road hasn’t been easy, but I’m still pushing and running the marathon.

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

One of the more challenging moments in my life was when my Father passed away when I was 15. He was the glue that helped hold the family together and when he made his transition, we all felt it. It made all of us turn our hustle up. After my big brother Tony Payne was shot and killed on Manchester, I learned that just surviving in Los Angeles as a black male is challenging enough.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

I just want it to be “eargasmic”. I want people to think my music is ear candy. As Jay Z said on The Black Album, “First I had the streets, then I had the charts; First I had their ears, now I have their hearts..”

Any new music coming out soon?

I have a project “In A Mayjah Way” that should come out sometime in May. Keep a look out for it! It’s gonna be Mayjah!

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

My greatest achievement is my placements thanks to Dahomey Music Enterprises on projects like “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” and the Showtime show “The L Word”. It’s amazing to make money off your passion and turning your hobby into a job that can pay bills.

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Timeless, “Eargasmic” , Legendary.

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

It’s all about the vibes! That’s why we call it a record because it is a record in time that records our energy and vibrations and frequencies. I want magnetic records that captivate and draw people in.

Which qualities do you think make a great musician?

Patience and diligent effort make you a great musician. The best artists always want to create something better than they created before.

What’s the best piece of advice another musician ever gave you?

Mob Jr who is the cousin of The Jacka in The Mob Figaz told me to stay independent and put in the footwork and that has been solid advice.

Anyone you’d like to thank?

I want to thank everyone who has had part of my success. Special shoutout to Mama Scat Payne and my family in Kansas City, Missouri!

Do you produce your own music? If not, who do you work with?

I do produce my own music. I have been playing piano and making beats since I was a teenager. I work with Sammy Issac, C6ixx and @TCTheCreative on the regular making instrumentals.
